Barefoot Safaris and Adventure Tours

Updated: 7 December 2025

We keep things very simple and only collect what we truly need to organise your safari.

What we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number (so we can reply to enquiries and send you itineraries and updates)

  • Passport details, date of birth, nationality, dietary requirements, and any medical conditions you choose to share (these are required by national parks, lodges, or airlines for permits and your safety)

  • Basic website data through cookies (to make the site work properly and see which pages are popular)

What we do with it:
We share the necessary details with the lodges, guides, and airlines that will look after you on the ground. That’s it. We never sell your information and we don’t run mailing lists unless you specifically ask to receive occasional news.

Payments:
We do not take payments on our website and we do not store any credit card or banking details.

How long we keep it:
Enquiry and booking information is kept for as long as needed to manage your trip and meet legal/tax requirements in the countries we operate in (normally up to 7 years). Passport copies and medical notes are deleted within a few months after your safari finishes.

Your rights:
You can always ask to see what information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to stop using it for marketing. Just drop us an email at ken@barefootsafaris.com and we’ll sort it out quickly and for free.

That’s honestly everything. Safe travels!
